FROM FLAC TO CD

Well, since I've been asked a few times, here's a very short tutorial about how to create an audio CD using a cue sheet and a flac file:

- first you should convert the .flac file into .wav format using a converter, for example the one you can find here;

- now put the .wav file and the .cue file in the same folder;

- open the .cue file with your favourite burning software;

- et voilà!

Good news, finally I was lucky enough to receive help from a very kind Malaysian citizen!

MEGA... PROBLEMS!

I don't know what's happened, but I guess that somehow I did something wrong...: most of the files hosted on my Mega account seem to be unavailable when people try to download them. The files are still there, but for some reason they have a different link now...

Sadly, at the moment I don't have enough spare time to check and fix them all at once... As usual, you can help me by letting me know which files are unavailable leaving a comment or writing to my usual e-mail address, thanks for your help!

THE "SPEEDYSHARE PREMIUM ACCOUNT" PROBLEM

Well, all the files offered here for download are hosted by SpeedyShare: today I discovered that most of them now require a SpeedyShare Premium Account to be downloaded, I'm not sure about when this policy was introduced, but anyway... Toooooo bad!

I am going to re-upload all files somewhere else, new links will appear in the comments section of each post as usual.

All the files uploaded on SpeedyShare will remain available until the Stereo Candies account expires.

In the next months I will post many Hong Kong Pop/Instrumental records released in the late-60s / mid-70s. As usual, I would like to provide information about these releases and their authours, here's a few names: 劉鳳屏 (Pancy Lau), 太陽神樂隊 (The Apollo), 麗莎 (Lisa Wong), 冉肖玲 (Ran Xiao Ling), 鄧麗君 (Teresa Teng), 奧斯卡管弦樂團 (Oscar Orchestra)...

Unfortunately the Internet doesn't offer much information - written in English - about these artists and this is the reason why I need help: if you can translate from Chinese to English please get in touch with me at stereocandies [at] hotmail [dot] com or leave a comment in the box below, thank you so much!

It's been difficult to obtain these vinyls, some are not in the best conditions and I'm currently working hard to properly master them. It seems that these artists and their music are poorly known in the West, of course it's a real pity because they made stunning releases: I'd like to share them with you with a proper presentation, hope that someone will be able to help.
